So I missed most of The Restaurant after all. The channel we get (which used to play the show) didn't play it this weekend. So I went to my sister's house. It was on at the same time as COPS so I decided to watch that and tape The Restaurant and watch COPS. When we took the tape out, we noticed it had hardly moved. The show started but I guess I shouldn't have been plkaying around with the remote when it was taping (it was a cool remote that sort of looks like a cell phone, so I was telling people "It's for you!"). I got about 25 minutes of the show. Oh well, like they say on COPS, Whatcha gonna do?

I think I'm gonna get cable though.

Apparently they're airing The Restaurant again as of this weekend (two episodes tomorrow and one next week)... I love that show. Even though I don't have cable and only get 3 channels, I am hooked on tv.

So I am waiting for a clock I ordered. I was thinking that when the mailman comes to deliver it, I should ask him to wait, open up the box in front of him, take out the clock, hold it up, and say "It's about time!" Get it? time? a clock? It seemed funny when I thought of it at 3 a.m. last night (well, this morning, I guess).

So I'm thinking of taking Karate lessons. I've thought about it since I was a kid but I'm wondering... in karate... do people get hurt a lot?

So what's going on? When I was a kid, there were always fireworks twice a year. On Victoria Day and on Canada Day. There were some places with fireworks on New Year's Eve, but it was basically those two holidays.

But in recent years, there are no fireworks on Victoria Day. Or maybe I just miss them, or maybe that was just in Ottawa. What's going on?

I just finished watching J.R. Digs. If you're in Canada, you may have seen the show - it's funny. It airs on Saturday nights (before Saturday Night Live in some places). He basically decided to get his own show on the air. And when he couldn't get a network deal, he decided to pay for his own airtime. Now he gets sponsors to help pay for it. I tried sending him a new theme song for his show but never heard back. But even without my theme, it's a good show.

I saw a funny comedian on TV tonight. I didn't get his name though. He had hair. I think it was black hair.

I guess the Snowbirds are training around here these days. We kept hearing planes and pretty well ignored them (we live near a small airport). Then Sara saw their van. Then I saw a plane flying over our building, then it started to go straight up then it went upside down. Then another started following it and moving around it. It's cool. They keep freaking out the birds, though (they don't know what's happening). I wonder if they could write my name in the sky (the planes, not the birds)...

Turcs and Caicos seems like a fun place. A while back, I was listening to a radio station from there online, and I heard something about a survival of the fittest camp. They said "Each group will need to capture a live chicken or no lunch will be served." I've never heard that line on radio, anywhere, ever. Sounds like they have fun.

I bought a present for Sara the other day. Some cheese that tastes like Swiss Cheese but isn't called that. It was worth like $8-something and was on sale for $3-something. It was too strong tasting for me (well, in small quantities it isn't so bad). I hope this helps.

So I was at the restaurant with Jason today and when we got our salads, I looked at his (Caesar salad) and said "Your salad looks better than mine" (Garden salad). He said "Yours looks better than mine." So we switched and when the waitress came back she looked confused. She asked if we switched or something and we told her what happened. She was like "Oh, good. I was sure I had gotten the order right." I don't know if Jason liked his salad but mine was great!

It turns out the person is a "she". I found this link with information about it. Thanks Josephine Garis Cochrane!

I would like to take a moment to thank the person who invented the dishwasher, whoever he (or she) is. Today should be "International person who invented the dishwasher day."

"I don't know... What would Luc say?" That's the question you may be asking yourself when looking for an answer to a difficult question. I've just put up t-shirts that tell just that http://www.cafeshops.com/altfunwithluc. I don't know if anyone will buy any, but you never know!

I was looking at my posts - and you know the descriptive video and google calculator posts are boring. Try to read them with funny voices. This should lighten up the mood and make them more interesting. I hope this helps.

You know what I find interesting? That descriptive video. I saw a show one day that said it was brought to you in descriptive video and I clicked on SAP (secondary audio thingy on the TV) - it's really cool. In case you don't know what descriptive video is - it's for the visually impaired - and it tells what's happening on the screen. For example, they'll say something like "He looks up and a frying pan hits him in the face" - they talk real fast so you can hear the regular audio as well.

The first guy I heard was great - his voice was creepy, on a scay TV show. Some voices are better than others... I should try to use my radio school training to do voicing for shows like that. It would be cool.

I like cinnamon rolls.

I hope this helps.

I found a cool trick in Google a while back. I want to get a boat. But with boats, the speed measurements are done in knots. I wouldn't know what 30 knots means so you can go to google and type "30 knots in kilometres" or in miles. Or thinkgs like "30 metric tons in pounds". Or even 356/6. It's a pretty cool calculator.

Speaking of food (and I usually am...) - don't you hate it when you decide not to eat some treat in a dream because it's not good for you, and you feel proud, until you wake up and figure out it wouldn't have been bad for you at all?

Man, those white chocolate and macadamia cookies looked good in my dream last night!

I still haven't figured out my favourite kind of ice cream. But now, that's got me thinking about my favourite food. It's between pizza, chicken wings, and nachos. I think it may be between pizza and nachos but wings are pretty good too.

Hmmm...

I'm trying to figure out what my favourite kind of ice cream is. The ones I like the most are these: Spumoni (though I haven't had any since I was a kid), Butter Pecan, Rum and Raisin, Strawberry, Banana, and Tiger Tail (orange with licorice flavour). Though if I try to put them in order, I don't know which would be first. Hmmm... I'll have to give this some thought - maybe I should take the day off to ponder this...

My brother-in-law, Craig is funny. He was sitting there the other day and says "This gives a whole new meaning to the term... oh, I forgot the term." I guess you had to be there.
