I'm helping someone move tonight. I have been practicing...

"Sigh. Can't someone else do it?"

Ok, I'm ready.

I just thought we were in September 2006. Sara told me it was only 2005. I told her it shows how much I'm ahead of the game!

There was some big parachuting competition yesterday and we went to watch it. An airplane was flying around and you'd see three dots, then you'd see their parachutes open. I was amazed how theycould land exactly where they needed to and just made a couple of steps when they landed and walked like nothing happened... In the sky, they didn't look real. They looked like those toys you bought when you were a kid where you'd throw the parachute and plastic man in the air and it would open... I don't know it's tough to explain but if you had one of those toys, you know what I'm talking about.

The plane...

The people...

I thought of something I wanted to post about last night... well, this morning really... it was about 4 a.m.

But I forgot.

Oh well.

I found out last night that if you make Eggo waffles, and you forget them in the toaster after you've toasted them for, let's say, 3 hours, they get really soft (I would have thought they'd harden).

I forgot them completely but I put them in the fridge last night and toasted them today and they were really good.

I love waffles with my syrup.

The kid that beat me at the potato sack race... (you'll have to squint... the picture didn't turn out that great)

The cloud that ended the picnic...

The hail on our car window.

This weekend, we went to a family picnic that my sister was having for work. We ate really good hot dogs and then they had games.

I figured I was in... Potato sack race - Sara fell and was out but I kept going - There were a bunch of kids competing too so I didn't want to run way ahead of them so I gave others a head start. Then, I learned something. Kids are really fast. I couldn't catch up.

Then, one kid wanted to race again, no one else wanted to race him. I figured I might as well. I went a bit slowly at the beginning then the kid started speeding through jumping like a mexican jumping bean full of sugar. I tried to catch up but he beat me. I got beat (and I was actually trying) by a 10 year old kid.

We had an egg in the spoon race. I didn't do too well on that one.

Then, there was the three legged race. Sara and I competed and we got to the finish line about an inch behind the winners. It was so close!

I'll have pictures later.

Then, a big HUGE dark cloud came in and everyone packed up. We got to the car as it started to rain. Then, we went to the grocery store and sat by the water afterwards - when the weather's interesting, we like to sit by the ocean (in our car). I looked at the back window and said "hey, is that hail?" - then it started hailing. It was cool!

I realised yesterday that it was already the 6th of September. I thought it was maybe the 3rd. It doesn't seem to make a big difference but it felt like summer was already getting to be far away. I'm glad I got the chance to enjoy summer a bit more than I did in the last few years. I had been working too hard. This year, I took more time to walk around and go to the beach then work.

Oh well... now that people have been complaining about the heat all summer those same people will start complaining about the snow.

I don't really care what the weather's like. I'm happy with whatever - if it rains, it's an excuse to stay home, if snows, it happens every year - I don't see the big deal (guess some people think there won't be snow each year) - it gets rid of the bugs anyways... If it's hot out, that's what happens in the summer. So I don't care what it's like. Half the time, I don't even notice the weather - people ask me what the weather's like out here and I have to think for a while. People worry too much about things like that. in case you're wondering, it's sunny today.

I've been on vacation for a week. I didn't go anywhere really - just watched a lot of judges on TV (Judy, Mathis, People's Court).
