I've worked really late a couple of night this week (like until 3 a.m.) - last night was one of those nights... And when I finally got to bed it was about 4 a.m. But then, after I finally fell asleep, I woke up and thought of a great melody and first line for a song. Normally, what I do when I think of a good idea for a song, I call my voice mail, and leave it on there (so I remember later).

But since it was 4:30 a.m., and I didn't want to wake Sara up by getting on the phone and singing. So I got up quietly, walked over to the other room, dialed my number and left the voice mail message. I haven't heard it today, though... it could sound... well, not as good as it did when I woke up (I once had a great idea for a song that would be called "Shoving Pooh Up Your Nose")... I wrote it down and saw it then next morning.

So she didn't wake up, and I might have a number one hit waiting in my voice mail.

So I'm too lazy to go to Radio Shack or wherever and buy a cable that probably costs about $5 that will split a jack so I can plug in two pairs of headphones at the same time. And tonight, I really needed two pairs of headphones to be plugged in at once. So it's sort of a long story but I had to take out an old tape deck, plug it into the jack where I needed to hear, then, I plugged in an adapter that fits into the tape deck, and plugged the headphones in there. But a tape deck won't let you hear what's going through it, so I had to press the little thingy that makes it think there's a tape in it, then press record. It's a lot of work (and a lot of cables) to not have to go buy one.

I read a funny blog today. I'm putting a link here mostly for me because I might want to revisit it some day and I wouldn't remember how to get there (except for pressing "next blog" until I get to that one by chance) The Official BigPru Blog

Why do I join mailing lists? I subscribe to e-mail lists mostly when I am working on a "new direction" - like when I wanted to be a 3D animator. So I got trial versions of software and joined the list. Then I thought maybe 2D animation was more for me... joined more lists, got more software. Then I thought general video/tv production - joined more... now I'm getting updates on programs that are 15 "next careers" ago...

I played basketball yesterday for the first time in years... since I was in junior high probably. It was cool. I realized that being closer to the net is good (I've probably grown 2 feet since then... in size... I don't have 2 extra feet on my legs). :)

It was fun.

I bought Fun Dip yesterday (that kids' candy with sugary powder and a candy stick to eat it with)... I've always loved the stick. I basically eat the powder real quick just because it's included (though the cherry one was pretty good) and then, it's the lik-m-aid (or whatever it's called) stick that's the best part - they should sell just the sticks. Sara, though, doesn't like the it - she prefers the sugar powder.

It's back!!!

So two hours ago, I thought the wasp was gone. but I just looked and it's back.

So I shut the window, then I noticed that the hole ws blocked (my only chance if it getting out I think) so I had to open the window again and unblock it.

Now the wasp is walking around again trying to find a hole... it's almost there... it made it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Woo hoo!!!!!!

As long as it doesn't come back again.

I believe the ordeal is over. I can't see the wasp anymore so it must have found the hole and gotten back out. The hole is now covered.

The good thing is nobody got hurt.

It's going...... ack - I though it had found it this time.

I'm sitting here with a piece of tape on my finger, waiting for the wasp to leave so I can cover the hole.

Wait, I can't see the wasp anymore.... I think maybe it got out and I didn't see it.

Now comes the question - do I open the window and figure it's gone or wait? If I open the window, I have a feeling the wasp won't be in the greatest mood since it's been struggling to get out of that space for probably 20 minutes or a half hour... But I don't see it.

It's hot in here with the window shut. The wasp is still walking around... it gets to the corner and turns an inch away... You can do it, waspy! It's going, it's going, nope, it turned before the corner.

All of the walking must feel like a hundred miles in human distances...

It's still walking... (and it's getting hotter in this room).

I've been watching a wasp in my house for a while. It came in a few minutes ago and I saw it flying around the room. It scared me. While I was going to get a book or a magazine (self defense if it heads towards me), it went back to the window. I guess it came in through a little hole in the corner of the screen. So I shut the window and I know it'll find its way out eventually.

But basically, it's been walking along the screen for about 10-15 minutes now, looking for an out. It goes right up to the hole and doesn't go out through it.

Wait, it's heading there now.... nope, turned around about 4 inches before it got to the hole. I will keep you updated.

I just saw an ad that made me laugh. It's for an "edutainment" product - apparently, they "make the borring fun." On an educational web sight... (yes, I know it's "site", it's a joke but I didn't want it to start a long discussion) :)
