I've worked really late a couple of night this week (like until 3 a.m.) - last night was one of those nights... And when I finally got to bed it was about 4 a.m. But then, after I finally fell asleep, I woke up and thought of a great melody and first line for a song. Normally, what I do when I think of a good idea for a song, I call my voice mail, and leave it on there (so I remember later).
But since it was 4:30 a.m., and I didn't want to wake Sara up by getting on the phone and singing. So I got up quietly, walked over to the other room, dialed my number and left the voice mail message. I haven't heard it today, though... it could sound... well, not as good as it did when I woke up (I once had a great idea for a song that would be called "Shoving Pooh Up Your Nose")... I wrote it down and saw it then next morning.
So she didn't wake up, and I might have a number one hit waiting in my voice mail.

It makes you wonder what you were dreaming about, huh? My husband used to write notes down in the middle of the night so that he could remember what he was dreaming about. Apparenlty he never wrote enough down, because his notes never helped him to remember his dreams.
