For the second time in 2 days, I've written down the date and written 2007 instead of 2006 by mistake.

I guess on New Year's Eve, it won't be a big deal since I'll have been living in 2007 already. But as long as there's good food on New Year's Eve, I won't care what year it is.

Not to be ego-boy or nothing, but I am the mail order king.

Years ago, I ran a mail order business. It was actually a lot of fun.

It's way in the past now but something I noticed lately is that the skills I learned in that business are useful in all kinds of other things.

When we send presents at Christmas, I can usually figure out the exact sized box for the items, and best best way to make them all fit in the box, they won't move around, without foam or bubble wrap.

I know where to put tape to make sure the package doesn't rip while it's in transit.

I know the rules for addressing a letter or package that will get to its destination the quickest.

And today, I found out I know how to recognize a UPS tracking number. Sara ordered something and had a tracking number and two courier companies (they didn't mention which one it was shipped with - you had to check both sites to track the package). I looked at it, I said "it's UPS". Sara said "but it also says this orther company" "You're fighting the mail order king on this?"

It was UPS.

Any questions?

I think I'm addicted to voting for people on hotornot.com. Every time I get bored I sit there and rate people. I should probably go out or something instead. But then again, it's so much fun. When Sara gets her cell phone I can waste my time playing Tetris instead or something like that.

Wait... I have spare time lately? That's cool... it's been a while since I've had time to do nothing. Oh well, back to hot or not...

Ok, this sounds odd but I was just dancing around the kitchen listening to Kelly Clarkson's Behind These Hazel Eyes.

I know. Surprised me too.

Nothing makes you feel old like taking your childhood furniture to an antique store.

Sara just made me laugh... we were trying to figure out what useless things we could do that would be funny when we're rich.

I said we should buy ad space on a billboard on the side of the road that says something funny. Sara said she'd write just "I bought this space because I'm a rich b**ch"

That is comedy!

I just had the weirdest, coolest snack in the world!

We got a coupon this morning in one of those Val Pak envelopes. I like cheap stuff.

There was a coupon for a deep fried Mars bar, buy one get one free.

Deep fried Mars bar???? Hmmm... interesting. I've been wanting to try deep fried ice cream but never got the chance to yet. This could be the next best thing.

I don't eat a lot of deep fried stuff but this got my interest.

It was SO good. They basically take the chocolate bar, put batter on it and deep fry it. Then they add some ice cream on top. And then we could get chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, strawberries, whatever on it. I said "just throw a bunch of things on there, I don't care" - they put butterscotch and chocolate sauce, and added peanuts.

It was weird, interesting and REALLY good.

Then I had some water and an egg salad sandwich for dessert.

Where do all my pens go?

I can put like 50 on the desk and a week later, there isn't one left.

It's not like we take them out when we go out... so they should be somewhere around here... but we can never find pens around this place.

Oh well, I'm off to look for a pen...

Got my in box down to 92 messages! Not bad for an afternoon's work...

Got it down to 299 messages now...

Funny what you find in your e-mail when you're going through old messages... I had a note to post this on my blog... it's a little late now I guess...

"Do you think that if I went outside,
when the ducks are flying south,
and yelled "you're going the wrong way!!!!"
and I pointed them North, that they'd
listen and winter wouldn't arrive?

Probably not.

Oh well, I don't mind winter anyways, so it's all good."

Things with my work have been getting more and more back to normal after my whole toe thing. But I've noticed that the e-mail was accumulating in my box... I did some filing/deleting today... brought the box from 650 or something like that to just under 400 (397 is under 400, innit?).

Oh well, maybe I can get rid of a few more before I fall asleep from boredom.

We just went on a trip... and there were so many trees, I kept asking Sara to slow down when she was driving so I could count them. She didn't want to slow down so I had to keep starting over. I never really made it past 3.

Also, on my trip (not because of my trip, that's just where I thought of it) I started thinking that I should have a mexican friend. Napoleon Dynamite (if you haven't seen the move, look it up) :) and Pauly Shore have mexican friends. I think I should have one too. I like the accent. It's cool.
