What is proper grocery store etiquette? That bar that seperates the orders, are you supposed to put it yourself before your order or is the other person supposed to put it there? I usually end up putting it there before the order, and then to be nice, I put one after my order so the next person doesn't need to. But I always wonderif they think "Why is he doing that? Does he think his food will get germs from my food?" Or do they think "Wow, what a nice guy?" Or do they not even think about it and I have too much time on my hands when I wait in line?
