Sara and I are on vacation for a week! I love vacations. Especially vacations where you don't go anywhere so you can rest. Sara and I have been working really hard for the past while and like McDonalds says - we deserve a break today... and tomorrow and the day after all the way next week!

Oh, and I learned something today. If you walk through parking lots instead of the sidewalk, you'll find out that people aren't careful with their money. I found 25 cents on the ground. I gave it to Sara as a gift. I'm good like that.

Then, she bends down to pick something up... it was $5!!!! A five dollar bill sitting on the side of the street. Made us happy that's for sure! Whoever dropped the $5 bill, thanks for the slice of pizza and the bottle of water!

Sara and I spent some time tonight on a music project I had been planning for a while - there's a show we've watched in the past and we thought we'd put together a theme for them to see if they'd like to license it.

We worked on the song - her vocals, my music... and then when we went to get the contact information for the show, we saw on their site that the program is no longer in production.

Ack! Maybe we should have checked that before... good lesson learned. It was a great theme though - I keep listening to it!

Here are some things I would like to buy for my house.

My bathroom looks like a hotel bathroom. It is nice and large. I would like to get a stool next to the counter and a change plate, like for an attendant in a fancy restaurant or hotel bathroom.

I would like a slot machine for my living room.

I would like a fake camera over the slot machine pointing at it like it's a security camera.

Of course, I still want a robot.

I will keep thinking of other fun things I could buy.

I paid back my debt to the pizza place today.

Years ago, I went to a pizza place (I think it was with Jason) and I didn't have enough money for a slice of pizza. I don't remember the amount but I think it was maybe 10 cents or 25 cents or something.

The guy said "That's ok, pay the difference next time."

Today Sara and I were walking by there and for years, I've been thinking I should go and pay them back. But I sort of thought it would be silly to go "here's some money I owe you from years ago."

But we bought a slice to share and it was like $3.40 or something. I told the guy that I was there a long time ago... well - the story's above - and told him don't worry about the change (from $4). At one point he said something like "after all this time it's $20". It was funny. I think it might have been the owner because he was all thankful and smiling. He looked like he really appreciated it.

So now I paid the pizza place back. And I'm hungry for pizza again.

I don't think I use MSN enough. It just took me like 3 or 4 minutes to try to find the program in my program list.

Oh, and the phone I talked about earlier was returned. I don't need to try to figure it out anymore. Who uses phones anymore anyways?

Sara and I bought a new phone at some liquidation store the other day. It looks really cool. It's got blue backlighting, has 11 different ringers, gives you the time, date, day of the week, even the temperature... It has music on hold. A hands free phone. All kinds of features. It was only $15. We figured we'll buy it and if it doesn't work well, we can get rid of it.

We finally put some batteries in, and started to play with all of the features. The catch? It was only $15 in part because it doesn't have ringer off as far as I can see. What kind of phone doesn't have ringer off these days? I use ringer off a lot because I work late, get up late, and like most people, I don't like to have the phone ring when I'm busy. Actually, the ringer volume isn't even adjustable so even turning it way down isn't an option... Well, I don't think it is - the instructions aren't that great so you're guessing about half and they're explaining the other half.

Hmmm... so it's one of those places where you can return it but only for a store credit. Do I want to buy some other crap-um I mean item or do I keep the phone? We'll just have to see.

It's a nice looking phone though. Maybe I'll just unplug it and put it somewhere on display as art.

I went to my friend Rene's house for a garage sale on Saturday. I sold some of my crap-um... I mean... merchandise.

Then, we drove to the Hershey's factory to spend some of the money we made. That was cool. The treats we bought were choco-licious! They were nut-tastic! They were filled with sugary goodness! You get the point.

I also got to ride his mom's electric bike (one of those small foldable ones). It was really cool! I looked like a bit of circus clown on it but it was great! I want to buy one.

Then, he let me ride his scooter up the driveway. It's one of those big scooters (motorcycle size) and it was GREAT!

Then I got home and checked how it works to get a license for a scooter or a motocycle. They're cool.

I just realised that I said cool a lot in this post...

My friend Luigi is performing at amateur night at a comedy club tonight. I love being on the guest list. It makes me feel important.

He's using one of my stories as one of his jokes. I went to Ikea and bought some steak knives... When I got home, I looked at the label and it had sort of a wine glass and fork, making it look like it's dishwasher safe. But next to it, there's a hand washing a knife under water, which makes it look like it's hand wash only. I was confused so I e-mailed Ikea and asked them if the symbol was actually dishwasher safe or not...

They replied (pretty quickly, I was impressed! I like Ikea) and said that the symbol means that that the knives as safe to come in contact with food. Hmm. Isn't that the point of the knife? That it will touch food at some point? Boy am I glad it's safe to have it in contact with food!

I'll return them. At least I didn't have to assemble them or anything...

For the past many years (probably at least 5 years), I have had, just about every morning in the shower, the same song in my head. It's Jurassic Park by Weird Al Yancovic.

I hadn't noticed for a while and this morning, I found myself humming it again. For years. And I don't have it in my head at any other time. Just in the shower.

Seriously. It's weird. It's a good song, though.

This is weird. I was just on ratemyteachers.com and I looked at my old high school to see if any teachers are still there (and how good a rating they get). I ended up seeing 2 teachers that are there now that I knew when I was in school (one was in my class, another one was one of my friends). I don't know why, but it's weird that they ended up being teachers at my old school. At least the friend I had that was cool had a most students saying she's cool.

Sara and I were listening to the radio last night. There's a show where I like the music but not some of the announcers so much. One of the announcers calls himself "The Rubberman" - I said to Sara "The Rubberman is getting on my Rubbernerves!"

It was comedy. He's actually pretty funny, just seems to fake his voice a bit too much and is mean sometimes. But I love hearing dance/house music on the radio so it's all good!
