Whoa. I just noticed it's 4 p.m. and I thought it was maybe 1:30 p.m. I don't know where today went.

Oh, and for some reason all that was on my blog this weekend was my last post - no links or archives or anything... oh well, it's fixed now. I can go back to posting useless (Blog Word of the Day) things here.

We were watching a show last night that we taped last week or something - it was a show about people who do major decorating at Christmas... people with hundreds of thousands of lightbulbs and decorations... Some people even had palm trees (Blog Word of the Day) decorated in areas where there is no snow (and likely no traditional pine trees growing)... It was funny - and great to see how much people get into it. You know, every year I think about Christmas and though some people complain that it's commercial - really - the fact that people spend a season decorating their houses selflessly for others to view and enjoy, and the fact that people are out buying presents and spending money on someone else... to get gifts to make someone else happy is great. I love Christmas!

I've been working on a few new songs... three main ones basically, working on each a bit at a time... I'll be adding mp3's (Blog Word of the Day) of new songs I wrote onto my music site soon hopefully. Oh, and due to a glitch, apparently one of my songs is #999999 on SoundClick today. Hmmm... When they fix the glitch, it'll look like I went up 999,200 spots or so in a day. Wow.

So last night, I went to play Yahoo Graffiti (it's basically like Pictionary but online). At one point, there was someone who draws a person on a bed. People are guessing everything, bed, room, sleep, sleeping... then the person frantically points to the bed... then they write things like "where do you sleep at night?" - people are writing bed, room, bed room, silly things like comfort inn, no one could guess... then, you could see the person was getting exhausted trying to point out the word... at the end, no one guessed - turns out the word was bead. It must have been a kid or someone who didn't speak english that well... the person was good at drawing though. It was funny.

Ok so it's 7:00 at night on Monday, and I thought it was Friday night. Does that mean I worked too hard today?

I love oven subs lately.

I make an open faced sandwich, cheese on one side and meat on the other (maybe green olives or pickles too though I always forget them) and put it in the oven... then I add mayo and eat - MMM!

You know what's good? Fresh pineapple.

I usually have it in a can but in the last couple of years, we've bought fresh ones once in a while. It's SO good! And it tastes even better when you freeze the pieces and eat them frozen. Mmmmm!

Do you know what happiness is? Reaching for a box of granola (Blog Word of the Day) bars, thinking there's only one left in there, and realizing there are two left. It happened last night. Mmmmm!

We just had chinese food for supper and I got this fortune: Ignorance never settles a question. I have absolutely no idea what that means.

I saw a good part of Die Hard 2 this weekend and it made me wonder... could that movie be longer??? It seemed so long - I switched to another channel for a while and when I came back it was either the same scene or another one that's the same type of thing (people shooting at each other mostly).

Oh, and another thing, the word of the day is emu (Blog Word of the Day). How am I going to fit that into a post? Oh, I guess I just did :)

You know, I was thinking that if you wanted to get a great price on a trampoline (Blog Word of the Day), you could look for people with broken arms in the summer and ask them if it happened on a trampoline. They might think you're crazy if that's not how they broke their arm but if they did break it that way, they might be willing to sell their trampoline. Cheap.

As well, it could be a good way to buy cheap skis in the winter.

So the next time you're at a party and either people have nothing to talk about or things are just boring, just ask "So, what did everyone have for breakfast today?" and seriously, people will get all excited and passionate about breakfast - what they had or didn't, why they eat breakfast every day or not... whatever, at least they're talking about something different.

Also, once they're not saying anything, one that used to work (though I haven't tried in a while) is "So, did anyone see The Simpsons today?" and all of a sudden, people are all riled up about how they don't like it or how they find someone funny, etc.

I heard once that the person you find funniest on The Simpsons is the person you're the closest to being like... I'm trying to figure out who I find to be the funniest - it's a mix between the kid who eats paste, Homer, and the grandfather.

The other day, I was watching TV and noticed that someone was changing the diaper (Blog Word of the Day) of a 6-month old baby. I told Sara "is that normal? it seems like he's a bit old" (I don't know much about ages where kids do things...). Then she told me that diapers are changed up until the baby's about a year and a half... (we confirmed with a parent)... What???? A year and a half? I thought it was like for a month or two...

You know, I don't usually like sequels to movies - but one I'd definitely love to see is if they did a sequel for Office Space. That's a great movie! I've seen it so many times and it's always funny.

I've said it before... I love television. And I love reality television (most of the shows at least)... I watched that Big Fat Obnoxious Boss yesterday and it was comedy. I felt bad for the people on the show but the obnoxious boss guy was funny!

I just prepared a useless letter for my uncle. Well, it's not even really a letter... I drew some stupid pictures (one of a guy with a i'm with stupid t-shirt where the arrow points up to his head, one with a three legged chair and one of a bookstore that stinks - one guy says "hey it stinks in here" and the other one says "yes").

Then I added a sticky note that basically just says "uncle, some pictures for you"

I found an envelope that a while ago was ready to send to someone (stamped and everything) and that I hadn't used because I had to make a change after it was sealed... I had just put the original letter in a new envelope.

So basically, this envelope was just waste but it had a stamp on it... I thought I might as well send something useless to my uncle... When he writes, he usually writes funny things on the envelope so I pretty well filled up the outside envelope with useless junk as well.

Now, I wonder how long it will take before I remember to send it off.

It reminds me of years ago when one of my friends and I would send letters back and forth once in a while but we'd address it to: "His name (or mine), c/o The Menudo Fan Club" (or things like that...) I can't remember the other things we'd write but it was funny (and probably embarassing... while keeping the mailman thinking we were pretty weird)

Sara and I have been working on a new site - we launched it today... I've been getting hooked on blogs and interesting ways people use them lately... I keep hitting that "next blog" for hours at a time.

So the site is called funwithblogs.com and is basically a site with some fun things for blogs. One is the word of the day and another one is the Yeah! Word. With the Yeah! Word, people who post on their blog and mention the word in a post add "yeah!" afterwards.

So, using this month's word, I could say "The other day, I ate some pancakes, yeah!"

It's sorta funny and almost useless... But it can make blogs more fun to read. Oh, and cheeseburgers (Blog Word of the Day) taste good.

Wow. It works.

It was SO windy today, our barbecue rolled about two feet over. So I braved the wind and put some bungee cords to keep it from moving again. Then, we took a drive downtown to see how the water was and I've never seen it move around so much. High winds like today usually happen more in the winter when the water in the harbo(u)r is frozen. We were sitting there and the waves were crashing onto the sea wall type thing and over our car. Then, thinking that being hit repeatedly by salt water might not be the best thing for our car, we took it to a car wash.

Weird. There are these really tall trees in the neighbourhood across from my place and I never noticed before but all of the branches and the tops have been cut off. I think I may have noticed before but it never really clicked in. I just asked Sara "When did they cut those trees off?". She doesn't know (I don't think she thinks it's as interesting as I do for some reason) :)

It's weird... why not cut off the whole thing? Oh well, it gave me something to look at for 3 seconds (I'm really bored today).

We were driving a few weeks ago in Quebec and we saw a building on the side of the street in a little town called Bic. It was some sort of zoo - it was closed but we stopped to look and saw a bear - I never saw one in my life. Then, next to him was a tiger (never saw a tiger before either). It was cool.

For years I've been trying to figure out why salad tastes better in a restaurant than at home (well, I haven't been thinking of this constantly for years - I've thought of other things, too). I think I might have part of it figured out (besides the fact that things just taste better when someone else makes it). When people make a salad at home, they usually get all of the ingredients together and then they toss the salad. So the salad's a mix of all kinds of things. But in most cases, restaurants will layer or split it up... the ham is in one area, the shredded carrots in another, so every bite doesn't taste exactly the same. And I think the vegetables are refrierated...

I've found that making a sandwich ahead of time and putting it in the fridge wrapped like in a cafeteria makes it taste better too.

Mmmm! Now I'm hungry.

I ate so much halloween candy the other day! It was great!
